Maureen Tepedino - The Artist
Growing up in the Caribbean, Maureen Tepedino began expressing her innate artistic ability by drawing sketches of Jamaican sceneries and still life. Maureen's love of art and creativity started in her early childhood and was encouraged by her Parents who recognized her talents from a very young age. Maureen was exposed to and inspired by artist Jackson Pollock's and Vincent van Gogh's paintings whose work she truly identifies with.
Maureen is passionate about creating Art that resonates deeply and brings harmony through unity and cohesion. Each unique piece she creates tells a different story, shaped by her own experiences and inspiration. Her artistry not only adds beauty to spaces but also infuses them with a sense of completion and meaning.
As a former musician, her artwork is inspired by contemporary jazz, reggae, classical music and the blues. Maureen currently invests her efforts in creating unusual, abstract designs using acrylic on canvas and mixed media at her Marina del Rey (Los Angeles) studio, which reflect the colors of the Caribbean's subtle hues contrasted with blazing colors. Her work brings a new flavor and accent that transforms and is described as eclectic and transcultural. Her paintings are sold nationally by interior designers, art consultants, architects and contractors for residential and corporate projects. She also specializes in corporate art by creating original pieces designed for Commercial spaces.

Original Abstract Art That Makes Rooms Come Alive
Walk into a room with the right piece on the wall and you feel it before you understand why. That is what Maureen Tepedino's work does. It is bold, layered, and rooted in real experience. Whether you need a colorful statement piece for entryway, a large-format original for a corporate lobby, or something that quietly changes the feel of a living room, her collection is worth looking at.
About the Artist
Maureen grew up in Jamaica. She was surrounded by colors that most people only see on holiday. Turquoise water, green hills, blazing sunsets. A culture that has never been shy about contrast. That upbringing shaped how she sees everything, and it shows in every painting she makes.
Before painting full time, Maureen was a musician. Jazz, reggae, classical, blues. That never left her work. You can feel rhythm in how her brushstrokes move. Tension and release in her use of contrast. A sense of timing in how a composition builds across the canvas.
Today she works from her studio in Marina del Rey. Her paintings are sold nationally by interior designers, art consultants, architects, and contractors for residential and corporate projects.
What Makes Her Work Different
There is a lot of abstract art out there. Most of it plays it safe. Maureen's doesn't. Here is what actually sets it apart:
- Color instinct from childhood: She grew up using bold, contrasting color as a natural language. That is not something you can learn in art school.
- Musical layering: Her paintings have rhythm and structure under the surface. They hold up to long, repeated looking.
- Figurative expressionism that feels personal: Her work sits between pure abstraction and the human figure. Figurative expressionism in her hands comes straight from her inner world, not from a technique manual.
- Real stories: Every piece connects to actual experience and emotion. You can feel the difference.
- Scale and presence: She knows how to make work that commands a room without being overwhelming.

Interior designers come to Maureen when they need a piece with genuine presence. An acrylic painting in Beverly Hills home or coastal property that actually anchors the room rather than just sitting on the wall.
Art Leasing Program
Not every project works as an outright purchase. Maureen's leasing program gives designers, facility managers, and business owners access to her originals on a flexible rotating basis. It works well for:
- Corporate offices that want to refresh their spaces regularly
- Multi-property hospitality operators building consistent visual programs.
- Residential developers staging properties for sale or lease.
- Designers managing several active projects with different budget structures.
Leasing gives you access to an original acrylic painting in Beverly Hills or commercial environment without a large upfront cost. And if a piece is right, you can purchase it at any point during the lease.
